AMSOIL 0W-20 LS-VW European Motor Oil is another synthetic engine oil from the European Motor Oil series and covers the specifications API SN Plus, API SN, API SM and ACEA C5 as well as the recommendations VW 508 00 and VW 509 00. Thus, the oil can be used for a variety of European vehicles.
The VW approvals VW 508 00 and 509 00 - prescribed for many cars of the Volkswagen Group.
VW 508 00 and VW 509 00 are comparatively new approvals that have been specially designed to meet the requirements of fuel-efficient gasoline and diesel engines. Both the diesel release 509 00 and gasoline release 508 00 are prescribed by the factory with a viscosity of 0W-20. The low viscosity promotes lower fuel consumption and meets the ever-increasing demands on engines and emission standards.

AMSOIL 0W-20 LS-VW European Motor Oil is formulated to protect the turbocharger and engine components from high temperatures. Since modern Volkswagen engines are often equipped with turbochargers to achieve comparatively high performance at low stroke rates, a thermally stable oil is required.
