RM Series

RM Series are highly customizable with an inverted Mono-Tube Strut Design and Digressive Piston and Damping Curve.

rm series

The BC Racing RM Series features high-quality inverted monotube dampers on the front or on both axles, depending on the vehicle application. The RM coilovers retain the key benefits of the BR Series while adding the advantages of an inverted damper design. This configuration reduces unsprung weight and moves the damper fluid away from heat sources, preventing overheating and damper fade during aggressive track use.

Reduced unsprung weight

By relocating the oil and gas reservoir from the hub to the chassis, unsprung weight is significantly reduced. A lighter wheel and hub assembly reacts more efficiently to road imperfections, increasing grip and stability. Excessive unsprung weight can cause wheel hop, reduce ride comfort, and compromise handling by limiting the suspension’s ability to maintain tyre contact with the road.

Reduced heat transfer to oil and gas

Hard driving generates substantial brake heat, which naturally transfers from the hub to the damper. With an inverted layout, the oil and gas chamber is moved away from the heat source, minimizing thermal transfer. Lower operating temperatures help maintain consistent oil properties, resulting in stable damping performance and allowing faster, more controlled cornering.

Reduced flex and increased strength

The large 42 mm damper rod combined with the inverted construction provides increased resistance to side loads. Minimizing flex ensures more consistent steering geometry, improving handling precision and driver confidence.

Configuration

RM-MA
Inverted front dampers with aluminium camber-adjustable pillowball top mounts (where available), paired with upright rear dampers with aluminium rubber-centred top mounts or no rear top mounts.

RM-MH
Inverted dampers on both front and rear axles, equipped with aluminium pillowball top mounts throughout.

RM Series overview

The BC Racing RM Series shares many of the key features found in the BR Series—such as adjustable ride height and damping—but stands out thanks to one major upgrade: its inverted monotube damper design.

This layout moves the damper fluid away from the intense heat generated by the braking system, helping prevent overheating and maintaining more consistent damping performance during hard driving. Lower fluid temperatures translate into improved stability, sharper cornering behavior and a more predictable chassis response.

The RM Series also employs a larger inverted piston shaft, engineered to handle heavy loads and extended track use without fatigue or performance degradation.

As you might expect, the BC Racing RM Series is built with track-focused driving in mind, making it the perfect choice for dedicated weekend track cars or high-performance builds seeking durability and precise handling.
